Dear Colleagues, Warsaw, March 2001

This is the Second Announcement and Call for Papers for the Conference. The present mail contains:

1. this Announcement along with the preliminary  Agenda  of the meeting and the  Fee schedule , both shown below;
2. the updated Program of the conference, meaning the list of speakers, who already agreed to present their papers; note that the Program is still open to new suggestions of papers and discussion themes;
3. the Registration form, especially for those who have not registered yet; note, though, that this Registration form replaces the Pre-registration form sent around previously.

The now announced regular conference fee of 250 USD or equivalent includes participation, hand-out, coffee breaks, lunches on Thursday 27^th and Friday 28^th, and the conference dinner. An additional social program of your choice will be offered at extra cost. We can offer an advice as to the hotel booking, but only early before the conference.

The Conference will be composed of (see Agenda overleaf) the Plenary sessions, during which important introductory and survey papers will be presented, Technical sessions, devoted to the detailed discussions of the relevant problems, as well as Public sessions, during which lectures will be delivered to an audience of representatives of Polish business, central and local administration, and guests from abroad coming from similar circles.

It is planned that the materials of the conference will be published in a book. This publication ought to sum up a certain state of knowledge and experience in the domain, with special emphasis on the line linking biomass cultivation and end energy use, in particular – the automotive one. Hence, the participants are asked to send in the papers before the conference, in order for the organizers to be able during the conference to establish the outline of the future book. Note that a failure to do so may result in a delay, which would be detrimental to the quality of the publication.
 
 

Conference fee: 250 USD (or equivalent) if paid prior to the conference
                            300 USD (or equivalent) if paid during the conference

 the fee includes: participation in the conference, coffee breaks, two lunches (on Thursday, September 27 and Friday September 28, 2001) and the conference dinner on Thursday September 27^th, 2001.
